ARTY SHOW – Open Call

Try the experience — start a dialogue with the street !

Arty Show invites artists to engage in dialogue with the street—a living, unpredictable space far more demanding than traditional exhibition venues.
Shop windows become meeting points between art and passers-by.
A mixed jury—committee members and two guest artists—ensures diversity: emerging and established talents, multiple disciplines, and artists from both the region and abroad. The jury pairs artists with local businesses so that their worlds can intersect, giving each city its own unique character.

In October, applications open for Aarau, Lausanne, and Davos.

In April, applications open for Sion, Neuchâtel and La Chaux-de-Fonds. Notify me at opening

The form is available only in German and French.

 

To ensure a fruitful collaboration, we kindly ask you to read and follow the participation conditions outlined below.

Participation Fees

The event is based on a spirit of openness and exchange.
Neither artists nor shop owners are required to pay participation fees. No commission is taken on the sale of artworks. The association covers all organizational and communication costs.

Application Form

The application form includes your contact information, photos of your artworks, and a short biographical text.
These photos and texts will be used to promote the event.

Jury

A mixed jury made up of both association members and external contributors selects the participating artists. Each city brings its own unique touch to the event through these artistic choices.
The artist-shop tandems are confirmed in coordination with the participating businesses. To avoid disrupting confirmed pairings, please confirm your participation as soon as possible.

Window Installation

If the proposed installation date does not suit you, please arrange an alternative time directly with the business hosting your work.
Don’t forget to confirm the agreed installation date and time with our team.

Pricing of Artworks

It is mandatory to indicate the price of each artwork displayed in the window, or to clearly specify if the work is not for sale.
Artists and shop owners are responsible for agreeing on the sales process, transaction methods, and packaging details.
Reminder: Neither the business nor the Arty Show organization takes any commission on sales.

Signage

To ensure visual consistency across the exhibition route, each window display will include an adhesive label (wall label) measuring 166 mm × 486 mm, placed approximately 1.30 m from the ground.
This label includes information about the artist, the exhibition route, and a flyer holder.

Liability

The shop owner is responsible for any damage to the work while in their care. Artists may be held liable if a piece is placed in a pedestrian area, lacks stability, or has defective mounting. Audience members may be held liable in cases of misuse or inappropriate handling.
